Simple Eats, 3/24
Hello friends! Welcome back to Simple Eats.
To refresh, last week we made the chocolate avocado pudding and paleo banana bread. Both of those recipes were just sweet enough to kick a craving, but they were also very nutritious so they were a solid snack option.
This week we will be focusing on the following ingredients:
Berries – Consuming berries in your weekly diet is said to improve mental clarity. “… compounds, found almost exclusively in berries, are known to cross the blood-brain barrier and locate in learning and memory centers in the brain”, says Elizabeth Devore, ScD, a professor at Harvard Medical School.
Zucchini – Zucchini is 95% water which means two things: it’s incredibly hydrating AND it’s very low calories for those of us watching our caloric intake.
